Carolyn Eldridge-Alfonzetti
Carolyn Eldridge-Alfonzetti lives adjacent to bushland in Sydney and enjoys birds and other creatures visiting her garden. She is the author of two picture books inspired by Australian wildlife: Rainforest Feasts and Rocky the Cocky, both published by Wild Eyed Press.
A former home economist, food often sneaks into Carolyn’s writing. Her verse novella Around the Globe with Gramps reflects her love of food from around the world and was shortlisted in the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards 2019. Her poems and short stories for children have been published in The School Magazine since 2007.
Carolyn’s prize-winning short stories and poem for Adults have been published in mainstream magazines in Australia and the UK as well as a variety of literary anthologies.
In 1997 she was awarded Writing Fellow-class membership of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW and in 2014 received a FAW NSW Distinguished Service award.
