Barrie has always been a doodler and enjoys creating different characters. It wasn’t until his final years of school and the years to follow that he began trying his hand at cartooning.
Most of his work was done on the back of napkins, blackboards or scrap bits of paper that were close by at the time and it wasn’t until after a trip around Australia when he was 21 that he started printing t-shirts and painting murals as a way of promoting his art.
After having children the drawing took a side step and raising a family became a priority. Just recently after being introduced to book illustration he has rekindled his love for drawing and painting.
